Yamini Mohan’s organic human forms burst forth with raw intensity, a fusion of pain and passion, pleasure and anger, desire and suppression. Her compositions transcend conventional gender distinctions, liberating souls like birds in flight. Movement becomes a labyrinthine experience, as vibrant, spontaneous strokes capture the emotional turmoil of the human condition with stunning intensity. In her creations, we see a world stripped of the veneer of colour, exposing the raw humanity beneath. With each stroke, she weaves a tale of complexity and contradiction, inviting us to confront the darkest corners of our own existence. She prefers using charcoal to give expression to my inner language that transcends gender equations.
