Shyam Aramban, a Kerala-born artist, holds a B.F.A. in Painting and a Diploma in Visual Communication from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (2015) and an M.F.A. in Painting from Banaras Hindu University (2017). Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Visual Arts at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Shyam continues to explore his artistic practice while residing in Himachal Pradesh.
His works have been featured in prestigious exhibitions such as the 98th All India Annual Art Exhibition (Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai), Kochi-Muziris Biennale, and international showcases like “Round From Around” in Pondicherry. Solo exhibitions include “Vara” (Lucknow, 2018), “Kashi” (Kerala, 2020), and “Embodied Encounters” (Banaras, 2022). Shyam’s art, deeply influenced by spirituality and life’s cyclical nature, evokes intensity and emotion through vivid colors and flowing forms, blending memories from Kerala, Varanasi, and Shantiniketan.
He has also illustrated books in Spanish and Malayalam and contributed as an assistant art director for the Brazilian film Echoes of Silence. Shyam’s works are held in private collections worldwide, embodying a universal and timeless artistic language.
