Ratnakar Ojha (b. 1957, Orissa, India) studied painting at Khairagarh University and later trained in Metal Crafts at Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. His practice blends structural strength with painterly sensitivity, evolving a distinctive visual language. Known for vibrant colour and expressive figuration, his works reflect a range of human emotions. He has exhibited widely in India and internationally, and his works are held in major collections. His style, shaped by early influences from his grandmother’s clay work and village surroundings, carries a strong sense of memory and rootedness.
