Om Soorya (b. 1977, Kannur, Kerala) completed his BFA from the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram (2002), MFA from the University of Hyderabad (2004), and earned a PhD from the University of Calicut (2021). His practice integrates archetypal elements within imagined landscapes, exploring memory, space, and perception. Characterised by fluid pigment and atmospheric tones, his works evoke meditative, twilight-like states. He foregrounds aesthetics as integral to meaning. He has exhibited widely in India and internationally, in both solo and group shows.
