K. L. Leon (b. 1974, Kochi, Kerala) completed his BFA from the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram (2001) and MFA in Painting from the University of Hyderabad (2003). His practice engages with landscape, memory, and ecological concerns, articulated through a textured, material approach that reflects a deep engagement with surface and process. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows. A recipient of several scholarships and residencies, Leon lives and works in Thrissur.
