Sruthi Sivakumar, an artist with a Bachelor’s degree from Raja Ravi Varma College and a Master’s in Painting from RLV College, explores narratives of identity and personal growth through her artwork. Her practice incorporates small objects from her environment, like dead insects and natural relics, to reflect on existential questions and the changing nature of the world. By merging traditional and contemporary elements and utilizing materials such as paper and plant fibers, Sruthi’s compositions highlight the interconnectedness of space, time, and the balance between humanity and nature. She has received several accolades, including the Diamond Jubilee Cultural Fellowship in 2018 and the Karunakaran Memorial Scholarship in 2015.
