Hareendran Chalad (b. 1955, Kannur, Kerala) studied fine arts at Universal Arts School, Calicut, after graduation. His work addresses urbanisation, ecological exploitation, and global cultural shifts. Rooted in memory, nature, and lived experience, his compositions transform personal reflection into layered visual expressions. With over four decades of practice, he has held numerous exhibitions in Kerala and beyond, receiving several awards. Marked by renewal and continuity, his practice reflects sustained engagement with contemporary life. He lives and works in Kannur.
