Anil Thambai (b. 1980, Kasaragod, Kerala), based in Baroda, pursued a BFA from the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram (2005) and an MVA from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University, Baroda (2007). Working across painting, photography, and installation, his practice engages with architecture, memory, and social histories, expressed through layered and visually rich compositions. He has exhibited widely in India and internationally, and is a recipient of fellowships and grants including the Junior Artist Fellowship and Shrishti AIF Grant.
