Shadiya C.K., an emerging artist from Kannur, explores contemporary themes through her personal journey and the impact of her surroundings on her identity. Her art focuses on plants and reflective landscapes, evoking a melancholic tone tied to buried memories. Currently pursuing her MVA in Printmaking and Expanded Media at the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad, she previously earned her BFA in Painting from the Government College of Fine Arts, Thrissur. Shadiya has participated in notable exhibitions, including the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi’s 51st State Exhibition (2023) and the Varnika All India Women National Exhibition of Art (2022). Actively involved in workshops and art camps, her evolving practice reflects her engagement with contemporary Indian art while she divides her time between Kerala and Hyderabad.
